Description
In a lead carbon battery the negative plate's active material is replaced with a lead carbon composite. This reduces sulphation when the battery spends long periods partly charged, allows a lower charge voltage for better efficiency, reduces corrosion of the positive plate and gives a longer cycle life overall.
This listing is the Lead Carbon Battery 12V/106Ah (M8): 12 V, 106 Ah over a 20-hour discharge, sealed and valve-regulated. Victron rates it for about 1,000 cycles at 60% depth of discharge and 500 cycles at full discharge. It weighs 36 kg.
