Marine Engine Service & Diagnostics

At Core Marine we are able to resolve any engine issues you may have regardless of whether the engine is modern and using ECM’s, common rail injection etc or of the older variety that are fully mechanical.

The methods we use vary according to the type of engine but typically these days most are electronically controlled and require specially designed diagnostic tools to communicate with the engines modules.

For this purpose we use the latest Marine Diagnostic Suite by Jaltest, any marine engine, marine generator, Jet Ski or Outboard Engine we can connect to and perform most functions/tests that a main dealer would carry out.

We also have OEM diagnostic solutions for VW Marine and FNM Marine.

In addition to the above our extensive range of Fluke test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Clamp meters, Processmeters, Thermal Cameras, Bore Scopes etc bridge the gap for when certain faults are beyond software based diagnostics.

As part of a standard engine service we include a full check of the ECM for any fault codes to ensure there are no unknown faults at time of service.
